After retiring as a player at the age of 38, Peter Alliss became a teacher, course designer and, most prominently, a television commentator, a role in which he enjoyed worldwide respect.

He had been involved with golf professionally since the age of fifteen – winning twenty-one international tournaments and representing Great Britain eight times in the Ryder Cup.
